How to Use the Worktop Sheet Calculator

Planning your kitchen worktop? This tool helps you work out exactly how many full sheets you need to order — no guesswork, no over-ordering.

Before you start, you'll need:

• The dimensions of your worktop sheet (default is 3000 × 600mm — change this if your sheet size differs)
• The length and width of each worktop section in your kitchen layout
• The quantity of each section if you need multiples of the same cut

Step-by-step:

1. Enter your sheet size — this is the full sheet supplied by your manufacturer or retailer
2. Add your kitchen pieces — enter each worktop run as a separate row with its length, width, and quantity
3. Choose a cut strategy — Largest Pieces First works best for most kitchens; use Longest Pieces First if grain continuity matters to you
4. Hit Calculate — the tool will show you how many sheets are needed and a visual cutting plan for each one

• All dimensions are in millimetres
• The calculator automatically rotates pieces where it helps reduce waste
• Add a few extra mm to each piece for cutting tolerance if your fitter requires it
